Used Burton Snowboards
Aside from selling goods under its own brand name, Burton stores sell several sub-brands which focus on specific market niches. These sub-brands include Anon Optics (snowboard goggles and eyewear); RED (helmets and body armor), Analog (outerwear) and Gravis (footwear). In 2005, Four Star Distribution sold four of its snowboard brands to Burton, including Forum Snowboarding which designs hardgoods and softgoods, outerwear and streetwear. Burton, a privately-owned company, also owns a surfing distributor. Board prices range from $300 to $1,000.

Burton Snowboards Reviews
The Burton Feelgood is a good all round board but it is better suited to good intermediate - advanced riders. As a begineer rider you would be better off going for a Burton Feather. Its an all round board and is easy to ride and learn on but is still progressive enough to last you a while, and is quite cheap to buy as well. Good luck with the riding.

Best board ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got it two days ago. KICKA*S!!!!!!!! it is $500 but it so worth it. And the graphics are sick. It is advanced but you might be able to handle it with some time. It is so awesome. HA HA HA dont know if you want to hear this or not but yesterday, had too much fun shredding and now i have a concussion, and my elbow is now in a split and my face is all swollen and cut up. ![]()
hahaha sorry. (I hit a jump, landed, hit a ice chunck) Tottally the best so worth it. Good luck

feel good is a crazy board for all around type of person....if you feel like moving closer to the park check out a stigma. they are pretty nice. graphics are nice on them too .... prefer the 07 graphics over the 08 though.

Freeride: longer in length, and semi-directional. Moderate to stiff in flex. Used for long, fast turns in various types of snow from groomed hard-pack to soft powder.
Freestyle: Generally shorter in length with a Semi-directional or twin-tip shape. Moderate to soft in flex. Incorporates a deep sidecut for quick/tight turning. Used in the pipe and in the park on various jumps and terrain features including boxes, rails, and tables.
All-Mountain: A hybrid between freeride and freestyle boards. The 'jack of all trades, master of none.' Normally directional in shape with either a twin or directional flex. Moderate in flex for various types of terrain.
Also park and freestyle riding are basically the same thing.

The Burton Custom ($550) is a pretty sick all around board. It will perform well on any terrain. Burton Pro rider Heikki Sorsa pretty much always rides them. A great powder board is the EcoNico ($630) or the Supermodel X ($700). A great park board is the X8 ($600) or the Un..Inc ($550). As for another great snowboard brand, Lib-Tech makes some of the best snowboards. Look for Lib-Tech boards that have Skate Banana Technology.

if you want a good, lasting board, i would go with burton. roxy has nice boards, but they tend to go more for looks than quality. roxy is a surf, decoration, snowboard, AND clothing line, while burton is centered around snowboarding and they really study what snowboarders are looking for and they take that into research and make their boards better that way. if youre just starting or you arent ever sure youll keep it up long enough, then roxy might be better pricewise. but then again, you can find pretty good deals on used boards. ive always had burton boards and never had a problem. i love them:)

burton snowboards are the best in the industry, roxys are good for beginners tho, + they less exspensive and there cuter:), but i would still choose burton over roxy anyday, i have both but i suggest roxy cause ur a beginner

Burton makes awesome boards, but yes as everybody else stated, they are very overpriced. The customs are one of the top of the line boards out there and you can't really go wrong with a burton. Check out some of the other brands they have out there too. It really depends on your riding style also. Are you thinking of using this in the park alot, or slashing through some pow in the trees. I have a burton and also a salamon. I love both, but use each for different riding conditions. Ride also makes nice boards. The difficulty for you would be finding a board that comes in a wide version. I'm guessing this is because you're having problems with boot hangover. Since money is no object for you though, go with the Burton! i guarantee you won't regret it. Also, check out the new burton bindings they have out with the toe cap strap. I picked a pair up for myself last year and they're really comfortable and responsive. My toes never get numb and i can crank that baby down as tight as i want.

Ive never heard of a Custom wide to be honest maybe its a new board coming out next season?. But im pretty sure that a Burton Baron is just a wide custom? im sure that its got exactly the same spec apart from its wider. Maybe the guy in the shop was getting confused and was actually refereing to one of those, not totally sure on that one?. As far as the Burton vs K2 thing they are both good makes alot of it comes down to personal preference. As you have had a few K2 boards it might be worth giving a new company a try and see what you think of there boards. A Burton Baron would be a good choice for you, or you could look into the Custom wide thing and find out for sure if they exist and when they will be available?
