Founded in Redmond, Washington in late 1992, Ride hit the market with only four board models and a vision. In 1994, Ride launched an outerwear and streetwear line under the brand name Cappel Clothing website: http://www.ridesnowboards.com/cappel. Today, this line has evolved into a technical outerwear line that includes two product lines, CAPP3L and Ride Snowboards Apparel. Shortly after relocating to Preston, Washington in 1995, Ride launched the Preston brand of snowboard bindings which has now evolved under the main Ride Snowboards label. In conjunction with the Preston brand, the snowboard boot category for Ride also planted its roots in 1995. Also in 1995, Ride acquired Thermal Snowboards Inc. of Corona, California. Today known as Ride Snowboards, they expanded into its facility in Asia. In 2000, Ride Snowboards relocated to Vashon Island, Washington, and in 2008 settled in Seattle, Washington. Ride Snowboards currently produces a full line of Snowboards, Bindings, Boots, Outerwear, Bags & Packs, and Accessories.
