Used Snowboards - All Brands
Buying a used snowboard is a great idea especially when you already know what you want. Make sure the used snowboard is in good shape and there is no core shots or de-laminating on the edges and the board will last you awhile as long as you don't take on trees and pipes. The best value is buying used, the next best thing is buying last years models....i have bought 5 boards through ebay (not all for me) and i am more than happy with all of them...

Tips For Buying A Used Snowboard From Users
Nothing wrong with getting a used board. Like everyone says, make sure it's in good condition if you want it to last. Chips, cracks, peeling, and what not are obviously not good. All you really need to do is use common sense when purchasing a used board. My best suggestion for you though is to go to local shops around you. That's where you'll get your best deals. Instead of buying a used board in which you have no idea what history it has been through, go to a regular board shop and check out the gear they have left over from last year. I don't know about the places where you're at, but stores around me and most other places will be selling last years gear at 50% or more off, giving you top quality boards at low prices. They're trying to get rid of those boards to make way for all the new stuff they're getting in for the current season. This is an awesome tactic to get all your equipment for cheap. Try it out, you'll surprised. Even if they don't have a sale or clearance on last years stuff and you find something from last year, try bargaining with them. Be assertive towards the price you want to get, most likely they'll send you out of there with a brand new board from last year at half off. Try it man, you'll be amazed. Good luck.

If you know someone who boards a lot they'll be a huge asset to you if you can take them.
Look at the board and bindings closely. Are the edges really banged up? Is the base nice and smooth? Do your boots fit in the bindings? Are the binding straps worn?
To find a good deal sometimes you can find one on craigslist or kijiji (if they have that where you live). Also you can often find good deals on eBay on a board/bindings if you have an idea of what size you want. A friend of mine just got a boots/board/binding package for about $210.
